Prosodi decided to grace us with a flying squirrel suited Mario. At least I think it's a squirrel. Raccoon? I'm sorry, I only played Mario up until the first Super Mario Bros! Somebody help!
Lol, yeah, I haven't played a game featuring Mario in years. I really need to get back into it, don't I? Of course, I was always more of a Luigi fan......
Isn't it supposed to be like a tanooki or something, which as far as I understand it is a Japanese type of squirrelly thing with really big...nuts.
Ah okay Wikipedia spells it "tanuki," says it's actually a "raccoon dog," and that one of their eight traditionally depicted traits is "over-sized testicles that symbolize financial luck."
If you haven't played enough Mario to experience the Tanuki suit, you are missing out man!

So in the game, does Mario hit those the turtle bad guys with his giant gonards? Sorry, I'm not up to speed on my Mario universe....
ReplyDeleteNah it isn't very faithful a depiction. ;P He just uses the tail.
